Shaylah McDonald joined Apple and Associates in 1999 as an execution recruiter at the home office in South Carolina.  She specializes in the pharmaceutical, medical device and other manufacturing industries.  Shaylah earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics Education from the University of South Carolina and went on to have a successful career in teaching.   In her nine years teaching Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus at Ridge Spring Monetta High School in Monetta, SC, Shaylah served as department head, was named “Teacher of the Year” and awarded a Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching.   

Shaylah enjoys providing personal one on one service to both the client-company and candidate throughout the placement process.  She works to develop a trusting relationship that will continue past the initial placement.  Shaylah has provided many clients with successful confidential searches due to her close relationship with them.   

Shaylah has successfully placed candidates at all levels, including plant managers, engineering managers, human resource managers, maintenance and facilities managers, quality managers, environmental health and safety managers, accountants, engineers, production supervisors, maintenance technicians and administrative assistants.  She knows finding the perfect candidate in any position is vital to the success of a company.  Some of the candidates Shaylah has successfully placed have the following experience:  FDA regulations, injection molding, plastic manufacturing, high volume manufacturing., tooling, maintenance, facilities management, project management both capital equipment and facilities, electrical engineering including PLC and other automation technologies, mechanical engineering, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, manufacturing engineering, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma,  EHS, cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, and others. 

Shaylah resides in Lexington, SC with her husband, an engineering manager, and their son.
