Jan Hudson partners with Debbie Winkelbauer in Apple & Associates West Coast office in San Diego, specializing in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries.  Jan earned a BA in Communications from University of California San Diego and went on to a successful career in television news.  During her thirteen years at the local NBC affiliate as the station’s Special Projects Producer, Jan won several Emmy awards for producing stories and programs on cutting edge medical breakthroughs including medical genetics, AIDS and cancer research.  As a producer for ABC News, Jan covered national stories for 20/20, Good Morning America and World News Tonight.  In 2003 Jan won the coveted national Edward R. Murrow Award for her work in covering Southern California’s historic wildfires for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings.

Jan’s interviewing skills make her stand apart in recruiting top candidates for medical device and pharmaceutical clients.  In addition to her work in the U.S. Jan works extensively with maquiladora manufacturing sites on the U.S.-Mexican border.

With her partner Debbie Winkelbauer, Jan has successfully placed candidates at all levels, including PhD scientists, engineers and vice presidents, and all disciplines related to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, including R&D, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Engineering, Market Development, Project Management, Program Management, Sales, Human Resources and Supply Chain.

Jan lives in San Diego with her husband, a television news correspondent and her two teenage sons. A lifelong competitive equestrian, Jan rides, enjoys backpacking adventures with her family and Debbie’s, and volunteers with a local riding program for handicapped kids.
